Organizations

Organizations let you collaborate with your team on NotifyHero. Share topics, manage access, and organize notifications across your group.

Creating an Organization

  1. Go to app.notifyhero.com
  2. Navigate to Organizations
  3. Click Create Organization
  4. Enter a name and optional description
  5. Choose visibility (public or private)

Organization Roles

| Role | Permissions | |------|-------------| | Owner | Full control, can delete org, transfer ownership | | Admin | Manage members, channels, and settings | | Member | Access channels, publish and subscribe |

Inviting Members

  1. Go to your organization settings
  2. Navigate to Members
  3. Click Invite
  4. Enter the email address
  5. Select a role

Invites are sent via email. Members can also request to join public organizations.

Channels

Channels are organization-specific topics for structured notifications.

Creating a Channel

  1. Go to your organization
  2. Navigate to Channels
  3. Click Create Channel
  4. Enter a name and description

Publishing to a Channel

Use the format {org-slug}/{channel-slug}:

Subscribing to a Channel

Organization members can subscribe to channels:

  • In the mobile app, add the topic mycompany/deploys
  • In the web app, subscribe to the channel from the organization view

Public vs Private Organizations

Managing Join Requests

For public organizations:

  1. Go to organization settings
  2. Navigate to Requests
  3. Review pending requests
  4. Approve or Reject each request

Transferring Ownership

  1. Go to organization settings
  2. Navigate to Settings
  3. Click Transfer Ownership
  4. Select the new owner (must be a current member)
  5. Confirm the transfer

Deleting an Organization

Only the owner can delete an organization:

  1. Go to organization settings
  2. Navigate to Settings
  3. Click Delete Organization
  4. Confirm the deletion

This removes all channels and member associations.
